National Night Out (NNO) (Updated)

LWNA will be hosting a National Night Out (NNO) event to help build a police and community partnership with our local Jefferson County Sheriff’s. The event will be at the Surrey Playground in Lakehurst Park. There will be a crime prevention deputy and possibly a fire truck from West Metro. LWNA will provide snacks and water. The goal of this event is to encourage the police/community partnership and support community based policing. Please bring your kids and family and join us for this great event!

UPDATE:

The National Night Out (NNO) was a huge success. We had around 30-40 people show up and 20+ kids. We were visited by the Jeffco Sheriff’s department. They were glad to help give us some advice about keeping our neighborhood safe. The main point was that “if you see something, say something”, even if possibly insignificant, please feel free to reach out. They would much rather show up, and that their goal is not to arrest, but rather help and educate people, in order to solve problems to help keep our community a great place to live for everyone. We are looking forward to make this event a staple of our community, to help us build a strong relationship and promote community policing and safety for our neighborhood.
