LAKEHURST WEST HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION BOARD ACTIVITIES

What are the HOA Board Members doing to
improve the quality of life in Lakehurst West?

  1. Gathering input from the residents regarding the current neighborhood covenants and the current governing rules and regulations from Jefferson County. This is being accomplished through the distribution and compilation of a recent survey.

  2. Sponsoring meetings for the discussion of these covenants, rule and regulations and the results of the survey.

  3. Gathering information and working toward a possible negotiation for reduced trash/waste services for all interested Lakehurst West residents.

  4. Working on the plans for the 1st Annual Lakehurst West Community Parade and Picnic, scheduled for June 27th. (Please see the web page "1st Annual Parade and Picnic" for more information and to register to participate in the parade.)

  5. Working with local Realtors on plans for the upcoming Neighborhood Garage Sale, scheduled for July 24th and 25th.

  6. Developing a committee to work with residents who may need assistance in maintaining their homes and/or yards.

  7. Board members regularly attend the local Cohope meetings to keep the Lakehurst West residents advised on government issues that affect our neighborhood.

  8. Supporting our local education system by volunteering to assist at events, such as the Arts for All Auction at Peiffer Elementary School.

  9. Producing a quarterly newsletter -- The Honker -- as a method of keeping our residents informed of issues important to our community.
